Sie verwenden Brennschneider, Laser und CNC-Maschinen, um Stahltr\u00e4ger abzul\u00e4ngen und Profile sowie Bleche millimetergenau zuzuschneiden. Zudem biegen und kanten sie Bleche, bringen Bohrungen an und f\u00fcgen die Bauteile durch Verschwei\u00dfen, Verschrauben oder Nieten zusammen und richten sie aus. Wenn n\u00f6tig, bauen sie Antriebe und Steuerungseinrichtungen ein und bringen Verkleidungen an. Kleinere Objekte wie Fahrzeugaufbauten montieren sie in der Werkhalle, w\u00e4hrend gr\u00f6\u00dfere Konstruktionen, etwa Hallen oder Br\u00fccken, direkt vor Ort errichtet werden.
